Sunday for Mother's Day all the kids were with their "other families" so we celebrated Saturday. We started the day with Brady marching in the Health Day parade. Kenlee loves the candy from parades and Jordyn doesn't mind the noise. The boys had been out to Forester Acres setting up booths all morning until the parade. This was Nate's first year but it is something Brady looks forward to each year. Usually Bob Holbrock is there but since he was out of town, Garth Mikesell and Everett Andersen were in charge. They really allow the boys to feel useful and learn how to serve their community.
We spent part of the afternoon at the fair, looking at the booths and having lunch. It was fun to just hang out.
All of us waiting in anticipation for the parade to start!
Rock on Brady Man! The ladies love the trumpet!
Sun is bright and yet we are cold, huh?
She absolutely loves parades! The candy, the princess and all the fun!
A small sampling of all of our parade loot.
Jordyn spent some of the parade trying to hide from the sun in the shade of the stroller.
That evening everyone was here for a BBQ. We had a great time! My wonderful husband got me an Ipad. I am really enjoying it. The kids got me a cover for it and a new willow tree statue. Breanna also continued adding to her gift she gave me for my first Mother's Day as a grandma. It is a plaque about grandparents and it has Kenlee's little foot prints on it. She added a new little plaque with Jordyn's feet and plans to add each of the grandchildren's feet on their first Mother's Day.
Kenlee enjoying the day!
(After this post was started I realized all the pictures from Father's Day were lost in a minor ipad mishap. I guess the words will have to do.)
