Yeah for the Weekend

We had a great weekend. We started Friday by going up to Liberty to attend Kollin's Eagle Court. This was a moment Brady has really been looking forward to for a while. He was so excited to be able to sit in the eagle's nest with this cousin that is so special to him. It was great to see the family and more than worth the trip. We are VERY PROUD of you Kollin!!! GREAT JOB!!
Saturday was just a usual crazy day. The girls and I did hit the sale at Seagull book and had way too much fun just hanging out. Poppy and the boys and Kenlee enjoyed the yard and her purple bike.
Later we all soaked up  the sun and watched Kenlee play on the trampoline. Boy, Poppy earned brownie points for putting that up!! Brian worked on cleaning the BBQ while we watched him. We were way lazy.
Sunday we had a Tommy's dinner with the Olsons. (Tommy's is a chile burger chain in California. Brian grew up on these and our family looked forward to our Tommy's lunch when we went to California to visit Grandpa and Grandma. It was usually planned before anything else. Since there are no Tommy's in Utah, Brian found a recipe and makes a wonderful knock off of this great chile. We have been having this meal with Olsons since before Brock left on his mission.)  It was a wonderful day of food and fun. We so love the Olsons and are so glad to have them all in our lives. A full rich weekend!

Can't you just feel the love!

Congratulations Kollin and Laretta.

Ok so maybe this isn't the best picture but it's the only one I had.

I will be in trouble for posting this but isn't it cute!

Jordyn Michele Daines

Jordyn finally arrived on Sunday, March 4. This was a highly anticipated event for our family. Breanna was induced so we spent the day waiting for text updates. For the first time in our lives, Brian had his cell phone on him at church. We even checked the first text during Sacrament meeting. Yes being an excited Grandpa even makes him naughty. They went up to the hospital about noon and the wait began. Luckily, we had kept Kenlee over night so she kept us very entertained. Church is very different with a two year old. I had forgotten!
Blake was great at keeping us all informed and  Jordyn was born around 10:00 p.m., 8lbs 11ozs and 20 1/2 inches. We were all here and we all cheered and Kenlee danced. Blake sent pictures to the kid's phones and told us her name. Then we all had to go to bed and wait it out until morning.
I could hardly wait for Kenlee to wake up on Monday. (Of course she slept until after 9:00.) I hurried her through the morning stuff and we meet Brian at the hospital. Jordyn is beautiful and we loved holding her. Kenlee was done way before we were but I have seen her every day since. I stayed for 3 nights so Blake and Breanna could get some sleep. Grandma spoiled her and we slept on the couch together a few times. Oh, how sweet it is! We are truly blessed to have them so close and so willing to share the girls with us. What a rich full life.

Tiffany and Brock's Wedding

Well I'm slow but it's time to write a little about the wedding. We had a great week actually. Tuesday the 24th we went with Tiffany to the temple. It really is a privilege to be able to go with my girls for the first time. Tiffany has made great choices and I am so proud of her. While we were in the temple, Karlee, Brady, Nathan, and Brock's brother and sister, Chantz and Gillian, went to the baptistery and did baptisms for the dead.  It was extra special to know all our children were in the temple. We had several of our family and the Olson family with us it was a great evening.
On Friday morning, Jan. 27th, Brian woke Tiffany up with Billy Idol's "White Wedding". This became a tradition with Breanna  four years ago. (Kinda odd but everyone wanted to make sure he had the music ready to go.) Then it was a whirlwind of hair, makeup, moving the cake to the church and transporting refreshments and little brothers. We left Karlee at home to take care of children and went off to the temple.
It was a wonderful ceremony and the sealer was really. They had a full room of support and it was great.

Breanna and I got her all prettified and out we went to greet the family and take pictures. We had a wonderful luncheon at firehouse. Then it was off to the church for pictures and the reception. Both families had such great support from friends and family. Thank You! Thank you! We also had so much help setting up and cleaning up. It was a wonderful day for two wonderful people. Welcome to the Zoo, Brock!! I have a feeling you already fit right in.

Poppy and Mom's Parties (better known as Michele and Brian's Birthday)

Brian and I are one year older. Somehow they seem to come more often the last few years.
My birthday is Feb. 15th. Not everyone could be here on the day this year so we celebrated with everyone who could come. Kenlee was so excited to party with grandma. Breanna made me pecan pie and coconut cream pie. The crust had an accident but the filling was YUMMY!! Thanks sweetheart.
Brian's birthday is the 17th. Again not everyone could be here, so those of us who could Partied! He had strawberry pie and it was yummy. Because Breanna is so close to delivery I would not allow her to "redeem herself" by making the pie crusts but she will have many chances to make it up to us. She makes great pie crust.

Breanna made me two beautiful pies.

Kenlee was distributing ABC's on Poppy's Birthday. The funny thing is we got them in our pockets.

Happy Birthday Brian!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

We had two full rich days and we are still going to get everyone together for a huge celebration on Sunday the 26th. We really like to stretch out those birthdays. Thanks for some great days!
